"Abstract
Child mental health is considered one of the most important aspect in the context of
raising a child. It has been proven that a statistical figure higher than 20% of
children and young adults worldwide is exposed to some form of a mental illness.
According toa several psychological studies it is concluded that these mental illnesses
are developedmostly during childhood and a certain number of cases continue until
and beyond adulthood which directly affect their personal and professional life.
Behavioural disorders are a mental health conditions which fall under mental
disorders. Among these behavioural disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Conduct Disorder
(CD) are the most common behavioural disorders which are identified in children. It
has been estimated that a 7.4% of children aged 3 to 17 year has been identified with
behavioural disordersworldwide.
To counter this growing threat, it is important to identify the children exposed to
behavioural disorders by analysing the symptoms. Currently there are no proper
applications which has been dedicated for the sole purpose of detecting behavioural
disorders in children even though a plenty of tools are there to detect mental health
conditions of adults. When it comes to behavioural disorders, it is not an easy task
identifying behavioural disorders since obtaining data to analyse is not something
which is happening efficiently.
KinderCare application is built with the aim of addressing the problem of identifying
behavioural disorders of children by analysing the data fed in to the system by
teachersand parents using a standard rating scale.
