Abstract

Child development, growth and mentality of the children is quite a sensitive yet inadequately addressed topic in the entire world, and various key factors affecting a child’s primary growth and development have been identified over the years. Most families had not transformed in to nuclear units during the time of few years back and children’s caretaking and effective supervision on their activities was a shared responsibility within the entire family. Grandparents, uncles, aunts and even other responsible elders in the family involved in maintaining a safe and sound environment at homes for children even when one or more parents were employed. This situation has majorly changed in the cause of few years and more and more families have settled in around urban areas as nuclear units and the children only have their immediate parents to attend to their needs. Also, the economic, social and basic living needs have enhanced over the time and most families have reached a situation where both parents need to be employed for the positive sustenance of their family unit. Having to face the pressure of work schedules, urge to produce more funds and in their escalating ambitions to create comfortable and a good life for children, parents are often neglecting the alarming importance of paying attention to their children’s safety, when they do not have the luxury to spend time with them. This has unfortunately lead to on a level of children are gravely been affected in most appalling ways with having less supervision from the parents Hence the aim of this project is to analyse, discuss and come to a common understanding of this issue between parents and children and working parents not giving establishing a middle ground where we can design an effective solution to aid the parents to balance their time between their children and work. Several interviews, surveys and other related research methods have been used to gather the necessary data prior to analysing the statistics and these information has been obtained across a wide variety of people in the society, both affected and have identified this situation. The results of the data obtained necessarily gave the conclusion that this IOT application could come smart and will be able to access the problem pragmatically, thus assisting majority of parents and ensuring that their healthy & positive connection and supervision with their children is re-established.
