The concept of recommendation systems is not alien to us since those systems have
been part of many industries that meet during our day to day life. There are plenty of
recommendation systems out there in various industries such as films, food, books, fashion
etc. However, this concept is never before seen being applied properly in the field of
Human Resource in recruitment process. Recommendation systems can be useful to
shortlist CVs and filter out the best candidates out of hundreds of applicants for a particular
job. This CV shortlisting process is currently done manually, costing HR professionals
hundreds of hours each year. Not only that, the human errors made during the manual
process are inevitable and hinders the ideal recruitment process. A proper candidate CV
shortlisting system could overcome these obstacles and create a hassle free recruitment
process saving valuable time and effort of HR professionals.
Considering the above mentioned facts, the aim of this research is to come up with
a solution which can automate every possible area of the recruitment process.
“RecruitMaster” is the proposed solution of this research and it’s a web application which
has the capability of performing as a company job portal, candidate ranking and CV
evaluating system which use natural language processing and aspect based CV evaluation.
The system will provide a ranked list of applicants along with a graphical overview report
for each applicant to the HR administration.
The ultimate goal of the proposed system is to reduce the workload of HR
professionals and save time spending on shortlisting processes. According to the
background check and literature survey conducted about this research area, there are no
other existing systems which provide as many features as this system"
