Abstract:
A Knowledge Model is defined as a set of methodologies and tools that has formed in a way to manage the curve of learning, organization of the learning curve, development of it and knowledge distribution in a specific area to the people who are need in of grasping the knowledge without having an effect by a time barrier. The barrier that stands between all these knowledge modelling systems and their usage for better efficiency that will lead to betterment of the healthcare system, is the lack of computer literacy among the public. Specially the majority of the more experienced and aged professionals in healthcare system does lack in computer literacy that needed to operate these technologies. This situation not only creates a blockage of having technological advantages in the favor of healthcare industry but also creates the stage for a massive waste of precious knowledge that the experienced professionals have by not being able to share it among the needed parties in a timely manner.
A knowledge model for healthcare professional with a natural language approach can be proposed to deal with the problem mentioned above. DocModel – “The Knowledge Model for Doctors” project is carried out by the author as the solution for the addressed problem. DocModel provides an easy to use interface to the user to take the full advantage of the knowledge model without having top notch technical skills and contains a potential to grow in to a larger scale in the future.
