Abstract:
In this present time there are a lot of reminder generation apps that create reminders. But every app doesn’t give the exact solution that every users need. Since this is a real world issue that the author found, as a solution this system was created to users to ease their daily activities. In this system its is relevant mostly for people who knows Sinhala and people with issues with Sinhala reminder generation activities. And people who note down their daily activities and events that happens in the future.
As a solution for the problem the author made the reminder extraction system. The purposed system is made using NLP to extract event details and automatically create reminders with event name, location, date and time. Further research the author found that the system can have more functions that are being helped to users as a solution. A chat was created in the process, so users can share their reminders in one click in a chat. The proposed system is designed as a mobile app.
And testing was conducted during the process, And the results were satisfactory. A LSTM model was used in the process due to it being sufficient in implementing the system. With a created data-set by the author was able to get good accuracy result and implementing this system would be a huge stepping stone for people who have language barriers to note down their daily work and get reminded on their events.
