Abstract:
This project report presents the design, development, and evaluation of NutriSL, a diet and
fitness management system aimed at empowering dietitians to create personalized meal
and workout plans for clients while facilitating secure, real-time communication and
progress tracking. The system features a web-based admin portal for dietitians and a
mobile application for clients, both designed with a strong focus on usability and
accessibility.
NutriSL leverages modern technologies such as React, React Native, Supabase for
backend services, and Groq’s Llama 3 AI models to provide intelligent meal and workout
suggestions. Core functionalities include client management, personalized planning, AIassisted recommendations, weight progress tracking, and secure messaging. Throughout
the project, essential functional, non-functional, and user interface requirements were
successfully implemented, while some luxury features such as dark mode, offline mode,
and downloadable reports were identified for future enhancement.
Technical challenges, such as ensuring database consistency with Supabase triggers and
implementing real-time communication, were systematically researched and addressed.
The project served as a practical exercise in applying agile development practices, AI
integration, cloud backend management, and mobile-responsive design. Overall, NutriSL
successfully meets its intended goals and establishes a solid foundation for future
development and feature expansion in the area of digital diet and wellness management.
