dc.description.abstract Music creation is game development has always been a daunting task. A good immersive sound track can make or break the emotional experince of a video game. Even though high end tripple A game studios with big budgets have been able to dish out lots of money and big budgets to address the problem of creating music for video games. Smaller indie developers and studios have always found it a daunting task and a difficult decision on deciding whether they they learn music theory themselves to write their own music, purchase pre licesned music that might not exactly fit the theme of the game that they wish to create and end up with a half hearted final output, or to hire a musician for the creation of the new music for the video game that they wish to create. However, all three of these appraoches come either with a siginificant downgrade of quality, a hefty price tag or a lot of time being consumed out of the development pipeline for the creation of the music. Exisiting litreture proves to show that procedural music generation techniques can be used to overcome some of the problems that are faced when following the traditional approaches that are stated above. However creation of a procedural music generator for video games does not come without its pitfalls and drawbacks. Most procedural music generators for video games are mere synthasizers wihich have the capability of playing pitch, rhythm and loudness randomizers which in turn create unpredictable music for the developer. And the other solutions that are available are not as adaptive enough and create low quality music while having a huge perfomance impact on the video game applications functionality. VizGenAudio has proven its capability of creating high quality audio for video game clips that have been processed through its pipeline, and maintains a thematic accuracy to the scene and within the music itself. And produces a high quality output synthaisizing all of its processing. en_US
