Abstract:
"Currently, parking infrastructures are not providing a central platform or real-time parking availability support with security aspects. Poor parking infrastructure has a wide range of negative effects on the city and its citizens. It takes a long time to find a parking spot, and drivers waste that time. As a result, there is severe traffic congestion, parking spaces are not used efficiently and vehicle emissions could increase as well.
The project takes a multifaceted approach to solving this issue, utilizing cutting edge technologies including IoT sensors and real-time monitoring processing through mobile applications. Parking space availability is identified by the system using ultrasonic sensors, which transmit the information to a central computer for processing. Real-time updates on parking availability are given by a user-friendly mobile device application, which enables drivers to locate and quickly find available locations. Advanced security measures like motion sensors and surveillance cameras are also included in the system to prevent theft and ensure the security of parked cars."
