Abstract:
"This research will address the issue of swiftly identifying and classifying diseases relating to Jackfruit leaves. Jackfruit is a major economic and cultural aspect of many countries throughout South and South-east Asia, therefore having a swift and easy way to identify these diseases early on is crucial to maintain and enhance the productivity of Jackfruit plantations in this region and especially Sri Lanka.
The author’s approach involves building a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model using
Tensorflow and Keras and using a dataset of Algal Leaf Spot disease, Black Spot disease and Healthy leaves to train the model which will then be integrated into a web application developed using ReactJs. The use of Tensorflow and Keras will ensure a robust and scalable implementation, facilitating a seamless integration into a web application. The web application stemming from this research will provide the plantation farmers and the general public an on-the-go tool for identifying and diagnosing these diseases rapidly and mitigating grave impacts on the crops."
