Abstract:
"Musical Instruments for musicians, fans and collectors are very important assets that can output
their identity, status or even their worth in some cases. This makes musical instruments contain a
value that sometimes may worth a fortune or value for some people as if they were going to buy
a vehicle. Since the introduction and application of technology in the musical world,
management and recordkeeping of these assets have been done through conventional methods
such as paper based or through database systems which lack data integrity, security and improper
control over them leading for musical instrument productions companies, artists or exotic
instruments collectors to drop their market value of the instruments they possess.
Blockchain technology is now evolving as one of the best tamperproof and decentralized
environments to handle data securing its validity and information unchanged. It has provided its
contribution for the music industry in several ways except for the recordkeeping criteria which I
proposed to give as a solution for the crisis of duplication and misuse of older registrations of
musical instruments and lesser gas fee factor with the usage of Arbitrum Blockchain network.
PlayersChain is a decentralized web application that is developed using solidity and hosted on
the Arbitrum network. It is a platform where any user can easily access and register their musical
instruments(We will be only using electric guitars and bass guitars for demo purpose) to this well
maintained ledger system while also facilitating ownership transfer functionality, instrument
information updating and to search registered instruments in this highly secured platform."
