Abstract:
"The ""Beyond Endeavours"" project was launched to address the difficulties faced by tourists
and local stakeholders in Sri Lanka's tourism industry. The main source of concern was the
difficulty that travelers and tourists encountered in deciding on suitable sites, resources,
and tour advice, which resulted from a lack of information about the numerous attractions
buried in Sri Lanka's rural locations. For gathering the necessary data for the project, a
multimodal research method was used, which included interviews with industry specialists,
a detailed analysis of relevant literature, a comprehensive literature review, and a
questionnaire-based survey aimed at visitors and their contacts. This thorough technique
facilitated a detailed understanding of the current concerns and challenges affecting both
tourists and local players in the tourism industry. The project's principal findings
highlighted tourists' unwillingness to visit Sri Lanka due to perceived difficulties in finding
appropriate places to stay and facilities that meet their needs."
