Abstract:
Exam stress is a common problem among students worldwide, affecting both their academic performance and overall well-being. ExamEase strives to address this issue by providing a technology-driven solution designed to help students along their educational journey. This research investigates the multidimensional nature of exam stress and the effectiveness of self-management approaches in reducing it. A detailed literature analysis was done to better understand the underlying causes of exam stress and effective coping techniques, supplemented by student questionnaires to identify frequent stressors. The study found that students need tools for both emotional selfregulation and practical study management. In response, ExamEase was created—a comprehensive programme that includes the Cognitive Test Anxiety Scale (CTAS) for stress assessment, personalised action items based on CTAS scores, study plan development, and progress tracking. Furthermore, the portal connects students with counsellors, allowing for timely intervention and support. The program was reviewed using a user-centered method, which yielded positive feedback on its functioning and impact. Exam Ease not only helps students manage stress, but it also creates a setting that promotes greater learning results.
