Abstract:
"Deciding what to prepare for breakfast, lunch or dinner Has become a common question for everyone. People at least spend 5 minutes thinking about what to prepare for their meal. most of the time people end up cooking something that comes to their mind and that can be a reason for people not to have home-cooked meals and to order food from out. Most people do grocery shopping for the whole month while some do for a week. And yet they struggle to plan something out from what they have. Two problems that cause this struggle are eating out and throwing food. Cooked and uncooked food waste has become a main global issue. A few identified reasons for these issues are that people get fed up with having repetitive meals which is a common issue, and nobody prefers to have the same meal over and over, the lifestyle of people also leads them to this stage, especially in Sri Lanka people are having busy schedules and lifestyles. People prefer to have something that saves them time. Which also doesn’t hurt their wallets. This project aims to analyze the issues people face when preparing meals as well as analyze all the other related issues that can occur and which can lead to the main issue.
Based on the problem identified through the research and other findings the problem ceased to exist between employees and boarded students. Recipe Rescue is a magic solution everyone finds helpful, including students living away from home, working professionals, and chefs. It’s been approved by all these groups as something beneficial for them. Recipe Rescue is designed and implemented to help all the above and others when preparing meals. It’s designed to simplify the meal preparation process."
