Abstract:
"Sports are essential in developing values in people, such as following the rules and showing respect for others. Assessing and contrasting a variety of players' domestic performances to figure out their suitability for the international arena is a major task for cricketing nations. Standardized domestic leagues are necessary for nations to recognize talent efficiently. However, selectors find it challenging to evaluate a player's abilities fairly because not all clubs or leagues operate to the same standards. Both domestic and foreign player recruiting and selection processes may be impacted by this difference.
Beginning in 1996, the SLC team won both the World Cup and the T-20 World Cup, leading to more than 15 years of supremacy. However, they have continued to experience difficulties in recent years. Because cricket is so popular in Sri Lanka and there are so many gifted athletes, it is essential to carry out comprehensive evaluations in order to find and develop bright players before they reach higher levels.
The project's goal is to make it possible for coaches and selectors to find skilled local cricket players in Sri Lanka by utilizing a unique ranking system and other characteristics. The goal of this online solution is to monitor player performance in order to improve player development and raise the standard of Sri Lanka's national cricket squad.
To determine the online solution's feasibility and usability, a small group of IT Experts and Industry Experts analyzed and reviewed it. Enhancing selectors' and coaches' capacity to find and engage the best players was the ultimate objective in order to boost Sri Lanka's national team's output and restore its reputation by winning important competitions."
