Abstract:
"My independent study and conclusions are presented in this document, which includes my
final project report for the BSc (Hons) Business Information Systems at the Informatics
Institute of Technology, Sri Lanka, in partnership with the University of Westminster, UK.
""Uniquely You (Autism Aid),"" the initiative aims to improve the lives of children with autism
in Sri Lanka by removing major sociocultural and structural obstacles that impede their
growth and assimilation into society.
The thorough material in this report is the outcome of my academic work under Ms. Pumudi
Vidanagama's supervision. Her advice was essential to the planning and implementation of
this investigation. Except as noted expressly, I certify that the concepts, procedures used in
their creation, and analyses presented here are unique, and that this work has not been
submitted for an other academics.
All published and unpublished sources used in the production of this project have been
properly recognized and cited. This includes a thorough analysis of the literature that informs
my project's theoretical framework, a close look at current programs designed to help autistic
kids, and a breakdown of the ethical, legal, and social issues that are relevant to the creation
and use of digital tools for autism.
Additionally, the project has gained a great deal from the expertise and unpaid assistance of
several subject matter experts, educators, therapists, and parents of autistic children who
contributed their knowledge and recommendations to guarantee the applicability and efficacy
of the suggested digital tool. Their viewpoints have been extremely helpful in developing a
solution that is both technologically sound and considerate of the requirements and
difficulties that the autistic population faces in the actual world.
In conclusion, this statement confirms the accuracy and academic value of the attached report.
In order to partially complete my degree requirements, I am submitting this project. I am
confident in its academic content and its ability to have a beneficial impact on the field of
autism assistance through technology."
