Abstract:
"This project aims to implement an electronic voting system for Sri Lanka using IOT technology
and blockchain technology. The traditional system is no longer trustworthy and is extremely
ineffective and costly, given the socio-economic situation of Sri Lanka. This project will be
less of a financial burden in the long run given that it makes human labour obsolete. This will
provide an idea for the future on given that it serves as a steppingstone to the various
possibilities of Sri Lanka adapting towards a more digital solution.
This project is based on a web-based application and will be accessible using a raspberry pi
and will have a biometric sensor to scan the fingerprint, the security that this system provides
significant due to the ability to tamper with the system is slim to none.
In conclusion the proposed solution is a major technological step for Sri Lanka, this will give
a transparent and secure voting experience and ensure that no discrepancies are
left unattended to. "
