Abstract:
In this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is very important to know whether people living in an area use safe equipment or not so that no one is affected by the disease. There are certain strict rules that need to be observed to maintain the health of a city, state, or country. According to WHO, they strongly recommend wearing a facemask in public gatherings and outdoors. Face masks prevent the virus from spreading through the nasal and oral cavities. When going outside, it is best practice to always use a facemask to avoid being affected by COVID-19. It would be a good idea to develop a face mask detection project that will alert individuals to wear a facemask in order to contribute to public safety at this time because of the strict closure rules and since we won't always have legal authority over non-compliant people.
