dc.description.abstract " Authoring tools are widely used within the e-learning domain. Their purpose is to make the creation of learning content easier by providing users with a tool which they may use to design/develop their resources. Traditional methods of learning are mainly paper based. Text books, assessments and other resources are printed on paper and presented to learners. Students are entirely dependent on this material for learning. Over the past year the world has undergone a massive shift in the way people live there day to day lives, this is mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The e-learning industry especially took a big hit and many institutions were forced to switch to online learning. The medium changed from a paper-based system to a digital one. During these times, e-learning tools are needed more than ever. Automatic question generation systems have been used in the past to produce questions needed for exams and other tests. This research proposes a tool which generates questions in the form of e-learning content that could be published once generated. The questions could take a variety of forms to keep learners engage, and the ideal question types could be matched to specific learners. Content creators are no longer needed to manually convert their traditional material to digitised text. The tool produces gapfill questions from PDF documents in the form of two content types provided by the H5P plugin. " en_US
