dc.description.abstract One of the main responsibilities of a nation is to provide best medical facilities for citizens, out of that a child’s health is more important as the children represent the future and ensuring their healthy growth and development ought to be a prime concern of a nation. Children are vulnerable to malnutrition infection diseases, many of which can be effectively prevented by an accurate medical guideline is essential. Due to the extreme extent and complexity of the medical field most of developing countries including Sri Lanka lack of expertise in provisional knowledge, modern techniques and technologies to sort out the nutrition state of an individual to diagnose certain diseases. Therefore, we have been unable to provide a comprehensive service to the community. By talking with nutrition experts and exposing ourselves to their knowledge will help us to detect nutritional state of a child accurately which will lead to prevent diseases effectively at early stage. So, the main objective of this research is to design a model to identify detect the nutritional state of a child who is below the age of five and suggest suitable diet plan and helps parents to monitor and record their child growth with the help of information technology en_US
