Marketers constantly grapple with the challenge of understanding and accurately forecasting customer needs and desires. Accurate predictions enable organizations to gain deeper insights into customer demands, boost satisfaction, and enhance overall business performance. Various machine learning, data mining and probabilistic models have been proposed to predict clients' future actions during their online journeys. However, a thorough classification of this body of literature is still lacking and there is a notable gap in research on recommendation systems that can suggest both the product and its quantity for purchases and purchases within the next three days. Addressing this challenge in the e commerce sector involves tackling several unique issues not typically encountered in traditional business environments.
