Improving the Adoption of Mobile Apps for Pet Owners through Effective HCI Design

Abstract

"This project focuses on the development of a pet care management app designed to enhance human-computer interaction by simplifying key tasks for pet owners. Core features include the management of pet vaccinations with timely notifications for upcoming or overdue vaccines, customizable vaccination records, and an easy-to-use interface for accessing first aid information during emergencies.

The app prioritizes simplicity and efficiency, aiming to provide a seamless experience in managing pets' health and well-being. By integrating these features into a cohesive, user-friendly design, the app seeks to improve user engagement and promote better pet care practices.

The primary research goal of this project is to evaluate and enhance the app’s usability, effectiveness, and overall user experience in pet care management. Usability testing, user feedback analysis, and iterative design improvements are central to the project's approach, ensuring the app meets the diverse needs of pet owners while fostering positive interactions between users and technology in the context of pet care."
