"Since the beginning, Sri Lanka Police were responsible for peace keeping preventing criminal
activities in the country. Therefore, they have been taking public complaints. At the early stages
where there was no digital infrastructure available, they used paper and books to record
complaints. In recent years, the country has been in a digital transformation where people’s day
to day life is so attached with technology. However, Sri Lanka Police has not been able to keep
up with these cutting-edge technologies which makes their services inefficient, and public is
starting to lose faith in the process.
With the above-mentioned issues, it is crucial to avoid and mitigate such issues and limitations.
While many different approaches have been taking place to make the process efficient. The
proposed Complaint Management System is a novel approach towards optimising the complaint
management process using the ability of web development and modern machine learning
techniques. This system has the ability to create new complaint with crime classification and
complaint status tracking." |
