dc.description.abstract Social interaction and dining experience, one of the most important factors of life, may be hindered for both diners and restaurant staff. This paper dives into the complexities of traditional dining outlets, revealing the difficulties that arise from dietary restrictions, allergies and distinctive eating habits. As a reaction to the existing challenges, ""DineEase"" - a novel solution that will completely transform the market with the help of a recommendation platform that will link consumers and restaurants - is born. Restaurant dinning contains much more than just food and dining experience, and it is full of various problems that bring chaos to the operations. Among the most frequent complaints customers have are the continuous inquiry and ineffectiveness of the traditional menu cards. By way of thorough consumer demographic and taste analysis, DineEase becomes a lifeline of choice, providing a platform to customers who can filter out unwanted ingredients and align with their culinary preferences through personalized menu recommendations. This is achieved through the implementation of two different applications, one for the customers and the other one for the restaurant staff members, which enhances the communication and order management process and is also improved by the introduction of the technology of QR code scanning at dining tables. Due to the ever-changing societal values and rules, the ethical, legal, and social consequences of technology applications like DineEase cannot be neglected. In order to meet the standards of data protection regulations, safeguarding accessibility, and undertaking a transparent information dissemination are key factors. DineEase development experience entails rigorous research, comprehensive functional analysis, and acquisition of diverse technical skills such as JavaScript, Node. js, Firebase, and React. Testing has been the key for the evaluation of the performance of the prototype that is being used to verify that the functionality of the product meets the expectation of the users and the level of their satisfaction. Given the feedback loops, it is a key process for perfection, which brings about iterative improvements and modifications. 6CSOSC020C – Final Year Project Report – BSc Hons in Business Information Systems DineEase can be proud of its individualized menus, effortless ordering process for all diners, and constant updates on the order status by our system. Nevertheless, like many other new solutions, DineEase is not free from difficulties and limitations as well. Problems like QR integration complexities and validation challenges are pinpointing where we have to do better. Suggestions for further development include incorporation of enhanced reporting features, multi-language support, integration with social media as well as dining table reservation system. From now on, the path of DineEase is not limited to its current incarnation but also aims to incorporate payment gateways, enhance personalization through locationbased recommendations, and make it possible for use on other devices. DineEase, in essence, is a great stride of technology in restaurant business which will be changing the experience of customers in a positive way and helping restaurants to be in the digital era." en_US
