dc.description.abstract Tabular data being one of the common types of datasets which are widely used in the various machine learning tasks. Though they are widely being used the best learning models are for these types of datasets in various tasks are using trees as base learners. But there exist various approaches other than the tree followed by researchers and the findings of the available works are not properly documented due to the various contrast approaches. It will assist in continuing research, if the existing work is analyzed and put down in a common evaluation. This paper presents an investigation of the existing approaches under the various categorization. This paper is an outcome of the beginning stage of ongoing research, in future using the knowledge we gained through this study to design our research. en_US
