PetAdoptLK - Web-based Pet Adoption Platform

Abstract

"PetAdoptLK, a web-based platform, aims to revolutionize pet adoption in Sri Lanka through key approaches. Firstly, the platform facilitates the seamless connection between pet seekers and shelters, as well as individual pet owners, streamlining the adoption process. This approach addresses the lack of a centralized adoption platform in the country. Secondly, PetAdoptLK introduces a unique feature – the ""Pet Adoption Success Story"" section, showcasing heartwarming stories of successful adoptions. This approach aims to improve the adoption rate by inspiring potential adopters and highlighting the positive impact of pet adoption. The project report outlines the development and implementation of PetAdoptLK and discusses its impact on encouraging responsible pet ownership and creating a thriving pet adoption community. Future work will focus on expanding the platform's features, reaching out to more shelters, and continually enhancing user experience to achieve a lasting impact on pet welfare in Sri Lanka"
