dc.description.abstract Also, a lot of research has been done on American Sign Language and English Sign Language, which are widely used worldwide, but research done on Sinhala Sign Language in Sri Lanka is scarce. The reason for this is the lack of resources and the availability of information from Sinhala Sign Language System centers to provide information about Sinhala Sign Language. The shortage has also caused a need for research in this field due to those reasons. This research aims to design, develop, and evaluate a system that can translate Sinhala sign gestures using a real-time camera to understand the language for ordinary people for people with hearing disabilities. en_US
