Jewelry Management System

Abstract

"Nuwaira Jewelers is one of the highly reputed jewelers for handcraft jewelry in Matara. It is very famous for its dedicated works over 50 years. They provide best service to the customers. Firm purchases ornaments according to the demand and sale them. Documents were managed by excel and the jewelers still uses spreadsheet applications and quick book to maintain their day today activities. Data redundancy, less integrity and inaccuracy, delay in decision making due to unavailability of timely reports are the main problems they overcome. Current system does not fulfill their business-based requirements sufficiently such as Daily operation Status, Work in Process (WIP), User Evaluations, Checking low stock goods etc. The new system will solve these problems and attain efficiency and effectiveness. Solution is to use the Nuwaira Management System (NMS) to cover administrative process to achieve organizational goals and objectives. New developed system assists to carry on procedures and functions of Ornament management, Sales management, Report management, Supplier management and Customer management for the purpose of managerial decision making. Nuwaira Management System can be logged in using a Username and a Password. This can be accessed by Administrator and the staff. Customers and Suppliers can be managed by Administrator and Staff. This System has been developed based on Rational Unified Process (RUP) framework. The developed system is thoroughly tested using a complete procedure and evaluated with user to determine whether the system user requirements are obtained. The system confirms to the specification whilst providing the intended functionality of enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. Main goal of this system is to smooth line the process in the Nuwaira Jewelry."
