Cuddly PetZ - A platform to manage and organize your pet information details

Abstract

Pets like dogs and cats bring immense joy, offering companionship and entertainment. Research highlights their positive impacts, including stress reduction, lowered blood pressure, and combating loneliness. However, in Sri Lanka, there's a scarcity of pet management apps, resulting in pet owners resorting to traditional methods like paper booklets, causing information loss. To tackle this, the project's objective is to create a pet information system. A literature review and pilot study were conducted to understand the issue and its sub-problems. Through surveys, questionnaires, and interviews, key requirements were gathered. This led to the development of 'Cuddly PetZ,' a cloud-based platform. It aids in organizing pet data, from vaccinations to medical history, and connects pet hospitals and stores, guaranteeing timely access to crucial information. This platform strives to enhance the pet-owning experience for all stakeholders.
