dc.description.abstract "Agriculture, a crucial economic sector for the island nation, employs a massive proportion of Sri Lanka's workforce. However, Sri Lankan farmers face a number of challenges, including poor logistics, a lack of real-time information, and a lack of understanding in crop compatibility and yield estimation. Low production, food waste, and decreased farmer profitability are the results of these problems. Additionally, the absence of an efficient supply system has contributed to food insecurity in the nation. The status of Sri Lankan agriculture today emphasises the need for a novel approach that may assist farmers in overcoming these difficulties and enhancing their standard of living while guaranteeing the nation's food security. Farmers may manage their operations more effectively and increase productivity by using AgroPlus' capabilities, which include real-time information access, predictive analysis for crop compatibility and yield estimate, and extensive logistical assistance. AgroPlus enables farmers to connect more efficiently with consumers and suppliers, resulting in a more streamlined and seamless supply chain. To achieve national food security, this can help guarantee that the proper amount of food is produced and transported to the appropriate locations at the appropriate times. Farmers may be certain that AgroPlus is a reliable tool to help them deal with the challenges of modern farming and contribute to the nation's agriculture industry's long-term growth.
