T-Guide - A Web Application Solution To Prevent Vehicle Based Scams

Abstract

"Following the Covid pandemic of 2020, Sri Lankan tourism has taken a huge loss. It completely shut down during the lockdowns and has been struggling after the travel ban restrictions were lifted. One of the issues which affects this industry is tourism scams, for the scope of this project, mainly vehicle-based scams. This can be any type of transaction related to a hired vehicle where the victim ends up paying more than they need to. T-Guide is a proposed solution to help users be aware of such scams and avoid them by providing up to date and accurate information while also giving legitimate vendors a platform to provide their services."
