dc.description.abstract "Cricket holds a cherished place in Sri Lanka's sporting landscape, boasting a rich history and a fervent fan base. The nation has birthed numerous cricketing luminaries, some of whom are celebrated as global icons. The sport permeates all echelons of Sri Lankan society, from grassroots school and club levels to the grand international stage. Beyond its cultural significance, cricket serves as a formidable economic driver, sustaining numerous businesses and employment opportunities. However, amidst its popularity, Sri Lankan cricket faces formidable challenges, including resource scarcity, inadequate facilities, unequal access to opportunities, and concerns regarding the legitimacy of certain players' bowling actions. Enter the ""Cricket Player Tracker,"" an innovative talent scouting system designed to unearth and nurture emerging cricketing talent in Sri Lanka. This cutting-edge system harnesses the power of machine learning and computer vision to assess the legality of a player's bowling action. Moreover, it accumulates and analyzes data over time, enabling the monitoring of individual player progress. The primary aim of this system is twofold: to create a fair and transparent mechanism for talent identification and selection and to deter the development of illegal bowling actions. Such measures promise to elevate the overall quality of cricket played in Sri Lanka. This thesis delves into the inception, execution, and appraisal of the cricket talent scouting system with legal bowling action prediction in Sri Lanka. It provides in-depth insights into the system's technical specifications, user interface, and its effectiveness in identifying and nurturing young cricketing prodigies. Additionally, it thoroughly scrutinizes the legal, ethical, and societal challenges posed by the proposed solution, all while scrutinizing the product's design, deployment, and rigorous testing. In essence, the Cricket Player Tracker represents a pivotal step towards preserving and enhancing Sri Lanka's cricketing heritage, offering hope for a more inclusive, transparent, and ethical future for the sport." en_US
