"To create a favorable living environment, landscaping has become a significant consequence for humans and all living things. Creative landscapes that combine ecologically sound concepts and strategic techniques help to control excessive construction heat build-up, decrease energy and water consumption, and make a natural and healthy environment.
In Sri Lanka, the home landscape becomes a major component of every house. Because of the globalization of the economy and the changes in the trends, consumers' expectations and purchasing behaviors are changing. Landscape professionals must understand client needs and build a landscaping planning strategy that fulfills customer wants to stay ahead in the landscape sector.
The purpose of the project was to explore the problems faced by customers who wish to design their home landscape. This involves designing, implementing, and evaluating an IT-based solution that combines customer dissatisfaction and advanced technologies with the current process. Understanding consumer purchases, landscape plans, consumer preferences, consumer conventions, social factors, financial factors, and technological aspects were evaluated. Use of research and analysis through interviews with garden professionals and questionnaires conducted with clients and landscape professionals to provide innovative IT solutions for the proposed solution. As an effect, the digital solution ""Lanzcapy"" was developed.
