"Expolanka Holdings is a Sri Lanka-based global diversified conglomerate. Logistics, leisure, and investments are among the group's specialties. Expolanka companies are known for challenging the status quo with a global vision and strategic growth plan that puts the group at the forefront of driving innovation, growth, and change in every aspect of business – a winning formula that has earned Expo a market leadership position in all three sectors. Despite the use of advanced human resources attendance systems, the industry continues to rely on manual data entry and data collection methods due to a lack of access to real-time data from employees working from home. As a result of incorrect manual attendance data entry during the attendance process, as well as human error caused by manual data entry, the industry has experienced a variety of productivity management and payroll issues. Furthermore, the human resource department keeps track of their attendance using a manual attendance entry system, putting the data at risk of being tampered with by employees.
Based on the problem context, the project aims to analyze the current manual work from home attendance system in order to address the productivity issues faced by Expolanka Holdings PLC's human resource department and employees in managing the data records of employees working from home for attendance management." |
