dc.description.abstract "The use of Sign Language has significantly increased around the world as the people with hearing difficulties have gone up. There are many Sign languages in the world and one of it is the Tamil Sign language. The signs might be the same in most of the time, but they portray different meanings as Sign Languages are different. The author of this project talks regarding the gestures of Tamil Sign Languages in SL. Main goal in the study is about interpretation of the Tamil Sign Languages gestures to words and then make a sentence from the words that are recognized from the video that will be input. The author mainly looks into the people with hearing difficulties as they can perform gestures and convey to a sentence instead of finding an interpreter to do interpretation. This system will permit the normal people to understand what the people with hearing difficulties are trying to convey. At the end, the communication barrier that was there between the normal people and people with hearing difficulties will start reducing." en_US
