Interpreting Sinhala Sign Language to Sinhala Text

Abstract

"Sign languages come from many different countries worldwide, including the Sri Lankan sign language. The various sign languages vary from location to location. The same sign does not have the same meaning and can be used to represent a single character or word in all sign languages. The project's author is talking about the language and words of the Sri Lankan Sinhala Sign Language. The objective of this research is to find the Sinhala language symbols of Sri Lanka which represent words, and then build a Sinhala phrase from the words that are detected from the source of the input. The author focuses on the signs of words because a signatory can easily convey a sentence in a word instead of fingerprinting it. The research will allow signatories to communicate their opinions to non-signors in a manner understandable to everyone. In the end, the social gap between those who understand sign language and those who do not understand it will be limited."
