Employee engagement, work motivation and job satisfaction lead to enhanced employee performance. In today’s competitive landscape, firm performance is crucial to ensure survival. Employee performance is a vital component of firm performance and many organization focus on improving worker productivity and performance. This research was carried out in a manufacturing organization in the Southern province of Sri Lanka. 122 usable responses were received from factory workers at the shop floor level. That data set was used to define and check the research objectives and make the decisions. SPSS version 23 was used to analyse the data and test hypotheses. The results revealed that employee engagement, work motivation and job satisfaction improve employee performance.

In this study “work” has been premised mainly on a traditional means of work, full-time, permanent employment with one employer. Whereas “life” has been taken into consideration as an essentially comprising caring activity for the partner, elderly parents, and children. with the factors taken into consideration such as work isolation, support from family members and hours spent on work when remote working, the conclusion shows that remote working effect the work-life balance on a much greater scale than it appears to."

performance in the context of the tea industry in Sri Lanka. The researcher has&#13;
carefully chosen employees from tea industry in Sri Lanka for this study and&#13;
research was conducted.&#13;
The fundamental conclusion of this study is to analyze and sum up the&#13;
continuous training and development and its impact on how it impact on&#13;
employee performance. In addition to that this study outline the role staff&#13;
training and development.&#13;
Hence this study depicts the independent variables considered were&#13;
Technology Implementation, Employee job satisfaction and Manager’s&#13;
Leadership Skills while the dependent variable was employee performance in&#13;
the tea industry. A structured questionnaire was used to gather data which was&#13;
distributed to 138 respondents who were selected on convenience sampling.&#13;
The findings denoted that there is a strong positive impact of all independent&#13;
variables on the dependent variable. The author has quoted article reference&#13;
and evidence also in supporting the concluding research findings."

<title>Impact of workforce diversity on employee performance in the Sri Lankan information technology industry</title>

<description>Impact of workforce diversity on employee performance in the Sri Lankan information technology industry

This research was conducted to investigate the impact of workforce diversity on employee performance in the Sri Lankan Information Technology (IT) industry. Preliminary interviews conducted with a few IT professionals confirmed that a research problem exists where the industry is currently facing an issue where employee performance is being negatively affected by workforce diversity. The study then examined and identified a few dimensions of workforce diversity. These dimensions were ‘Organizational Culture,’ ‘Prejudice,’ and ‘Stereotyping.’ A survey was then carried out to investigate the relationship between these variables and employee performance. 290 responses were then collected and upon gathering data, the study then ran a series of tests with the use of SPSS software to analyze this data. The findings of this analysis proved that Organizational Culture, Prejudice and Stereotyping, each have a significant and positive relationship with Employee Performance. The analysis further proved that of the three independent variables, Stereotyping contributed the most towards Employee Performance. The study then concluded by compiling several recommendations to the Sri Lankan IT industry on managing these dimensions of workforce diversity to prevent employee performance from being compromised further.
